Project associated with the Interuniversity competition "Design and Development Issues of Biomedical Systems and Services" (3rd place), organized by the Biomedical Simulations and Imaging (BIOSIM) Laboratory and the Biomedical Systems (BIOSYS) Laboratory at the National Technical University of Athens. Our team designed an innovative sampling kit for thyroid function tests, which simplifies and streamlines the process for patients. The kit includes a single-use device for blood sample collection, which can be used at home and then delivered to diagnostic centers. This project involved extensive market research, stakeholder analysis, and the development of a 3D-printed prototype, demonstrating our ability to innovate and address real-world biomedical challenges.
