Digital On/Off Control System

The Digital On/Off Control System project involved designing and implementing a feedback control system using a microcontroller to manage the operation of a solenoid in various modes. This project explored different techniques for controlling the solenoid, from basic timing control to more advanced feedback and fault detection mechanisms.

Key Features:
- Feedback Control Implementation: Developed a control system where the microcontroller read inputs from an optical sensor and a potentiometer to determine the solenoid's operation mode. The system could operate in both open-loop and closed-loop configurations.
- Multiple Operation Modes: Implemented several modes, including basic test, timing control, feedback control, and fault detection.
- Fault Detection and Recovery: The system included fault detection features to ensure safe and reliable operation, such as detecting sensor malfunctions or improper solenoid retraction, with built-in recovery procedures.
- Microcontroller Programming: Used Assembly language to program the microcontroller.
